Cooked ham

Fridge (4°C / 40°F)

3–5 days sliced, 1 week whole

Freezer (−18°C / 0°F)

1–2 months

Store it right

  • Wrap cut faces tightly so they don't dry out.
  • Freezing can make cured ham watery — best used in cooking after.

Signs it has gone off

  • Sour or sharp tang.
  • Slimy sheen.
  • Dull grey-green edges.

Never taste food to test it — a small bite is enough to make you ill.
